It was confirmed in May, 14th, 1998 by the decision N41 of I city council session of II convocation. Azure; argent city arch with three towers (on everyone are three loopholes) and the open or gate, in which is argent salt furnace. The shield enframed by or cartouche and crowned by argent urban crown with three prongs. The author is A.Grechylo.
City arch appeared on city stamps in XVI century. Salt furnace specifies the old name of settlement (Horodok Solyanyi - "Salt town") and value of salt trade in the development of city. Azure means local lakes.
