Escutcheon is placed on tne masoned field gues with argent masoned abaised fess argent and accompanied from below by two argent sabres in saltire edges up. The shield is enframed by or cartouche and crowned by gules city crown.
Masoned shield means old Kal'nyk fortress. Argent fess means small river Sib. Two sabres are symbol of victories of Kal'nyts'kyi regiment cossacks. Ostap Hohol' and Ivan Bogun were well-known Kal'nyk colonels, and escutcheon with a horseshoe and cross was element of their arms.
