The modern emblem

It was confirmed in January, 25th, 2001 by the decision #79 of XVII village council session.

Per fess by gules and sable; argent gryphon with gules eyes and or claws, beak and tongue takes or mining lamp in the right front hand. The shield enframed by or cartouche and crowned by argent urban crown with three prongs.
Griffin is a symbol of the ancient Belz principality. The mining lamp and a sable field specify the name of city and the coal-mining industry. Gules-and-sable colors specify an accessory of the city to Chervonohrad.
