It was confirmed in March, 26th, 2003 by the decision #4/9-19 of city council session. Saltire Vert; three parts Or and one Sable. On the fouth part bucket Or, on escutcheon Gules oak of natural color. The shield is enframed by a wreath vert from maple and chestnut leaves, intertwined by ribbon gules with inscription "Dokuchaevs'k" or and topped by city crown Argent.
Bucket is a symbol of limestone and dolomite quarries. The cross is symbol of shelter forests, wood is sign of respect for the people to nature. The authors are V.Martynenko, Oleh Kyrychok. Image on site V.Napytkin.
