The shield enframed by cartouche or with region crown or. The supporters are two lions or. The motto - "Zolochivs'kyi region" - by letters or on ribbon azure.
Cross is placed on Pidlis'ka White Mountain to mark of the 100th anniversary of Markiyan Shashkevych. It is a sign of people's memory of an outstanding educator and poet. Zolochiv castle tower is a symbol of all the forts, castles, city walls and defensive monasteries in the region, which protected the inhabitants of the territory from attack. Azure line is a symbol of the watershed between the basins of the Black and Baltic Seas, located in the district, the origins of the Western Bug and Zolota Lypa rivers.
