The modern emblem

It was confirmed in December, 26th, 2002 by the decision of VII city council session of XXIV convocation.

Or; azure cross above gules six-beam star. The shield enframed by or cartouche and crowned by argent urban crown with three prongs.
The basis of the arms symbols is city stamp of XVIII century. It emphasizes cossack traditions.
