It was confirmed in April, 13th, 1999 by the decision #82 of VI city council session of XXIII convocation. Or; fortress Sable with the closed gate, on the chief Gules is key Or with its bit to the dexter.
The basis of the modern arm is the old emblem of the Perekop city (which territory is included now into modern city structure) on which was an argent fortress on the vert field, and in the gules chief was or key. The fortress means system of strengthenings, and a key means the arrangement of settlement near an isthmus which conducts to the Crimean peninsula. Image on site V.Napytkin. Гречило А.Б.
