The image of the soldier is a mention of the desperate resistance to a mongolo-tatar horde rendered by local residents, meeting heroic death. Gules color symbolizes courage and fearlessness. Or mice reminds the times when there was cossack fortress, and also about times of hetman I.Mazepa when the village prospered.
