MYKYLYNTSI

The first mention refers to 1096 in Volodymyr Monomah's "Lecture". In second half of ХI century the settlement was a part of Terebovlya princedom, since 40th ХII century - Halych, and since 1199 - the Halyts'ko-Volyns'ke principality.
In 1550 there was build the stone fortress in the form of a square. The city acquired the right to carrying out of three fairs every year and the tenders in every Tuesday. Inhabitants were released from taxes to 10 years.
However the arms or stamps in the privilege were not fixed.
In 1674 the city was destroyed by the Turk-Tatar attack.
In December, 16th, 1758 the king has confirmed the status of city and given the arms in honour of Juzefa Potots'kyi. It represented Sacred Joseph's figure in an argent shield, and also the Magdeburg Right.
