It was confirmed in March, 16th, 2004 by the decision of oblast' council session. Gules Spanish shield; argent cross. It is a symbol of life, and also symbolizes a christianity. The gules colour means bravery, courage, fearlessness, love of the man to the Creator, readiness to give back life for the God and native land. The argent means cleanliness and purity.
