It was confirmed in December, 5th, 2012 by the decision of city council session. Rectangular panel with sides ratio 2:3 consists of two stripes - white and wavy blue (7:1), in the center is city emblem (half from the flag width), surrounded by yellow oak leaves, intertwined by blue and yellow, red and blue, crimson, blue ribbons, crowned by yellow masoned crown, under emblem om blue ribbon is inscription "Dnipropetrovs'k."
