The modern emblem
It was confirmed in February, 2nd, 2001 by the decision of region council session.
Azure with bordure Or; Archangel Michael in the clothes of a warrior stands against knotted snake Sable and holds in his right hand a drawn sword, in the left scales Or. The shield is crowned by stone crown with five prongs. On each side of the shield oak leaves, on bottom two spikelets of wheat with twenty-two seeds - the number of local district councils, and clusters of viburnum.
