It was confirmed in December, 10th, 1999 by the decision of region council session.
Shield is divided in saltire by two spears Gules. First Azure; gear with ears of wheat Or. Second purple; oil rigs Gules and gas flares. Third purple; bulb and sugar cubes Or. Fourth Or; tower Or with three weather vanes.
