Coat of arms combines symbols of the city and Volyn'. Cross argent in field gules symbolizes the Volyn', a small shield with the image of St.Mykolai means Luts'k, where is the bishop's chair. In the historical tradition, St.Mykolai is known as a patron of the city. Or symbolizes wealth, prosperity and generosity. Bare feet are sign of the ruler of weather and water. 992 is year of foundation of the diocese.
