8th Order of the Red Banner army corps

It was confirmed in February, 1st, 2010. The shield per fess and per pale into five parts. In the center is the escutcheon with the emblem of management of the 8th Army Corps. In every part is the emblem of the region which contains the units and formations of the corps. In the first part is the emblem of the Zhytomyr region, second - Kyiv, third - L'viv, fourth - Chernihiv, fifth - Sumy. The shield is crowned by steel helmet of ancient type, with ornaments or, corresponding to the status and rank of corps commander. Mantle: sable, padded by or, reminds that the 8th Army Corps was established as a mechanized, and subsequently - Panzer Army; purple, padded by or, which indicates the current status - the Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Supporters: on the right - a warrior of ancient Rus' with a mace, a symbol of power of the corps commander, on the left - Cossack in dress of XVII century.
