It was confirmed in July, 23d, 1996 by the decision of VI city council session. Azure; oil-getter an argent clothes bears on shoulders a yoke with two or buckets of oil (brine). The shield enframed by or cartouche and crowned by argent urban crown with three prongs.
Oil-getter is known from old stamps of community since XIX century and specifies oil-extracting crafts which have served as the reason of city development. The author is A.Hrechylo.
