The flag
It was confirmed in April, 11th, 2003 by the decision of oblast' council session.
It is a rectangular red panel with a ratio of the sides as 2:3 in which centre is the arms of Zhytomyr. It imposed on a yellow direct cross. The height of the arms makes 2/5 heights of a panel, width of the arms is 2/9 width of the flag. The width of the sides of a cross makes 1/18 width of the flag.
