POHREBY
Many historical, annalistic, archeologic, folklore certificate that Pogreby existed still in princely time. Local legends tell about name the first founder-fisherman. At excavation archeologists have founded here seal of Ratybor - colonel of Volodymyr Monomah prince. By the other legend, there were cellars (pogreby) of the Kyiv monasteries with stocks of vegetables and honey. The first written mention concerns to 1545 according to Kyiv documents. Sinve 1648 village belonged to Kyiv cossacks regiment.
