Purple with narrow chief Vert; sabre and mice Or in saltire, accompanied by an alder branch Or below. The shield is enframed by cartouche Or and crowned by village crown Or.
Sabre and mice mean cossack council which was called at 1650 in Zherdova by Yuri Khmelnyts'kyi. At those times in this district grew a lot of alder which later local inhabitants cut on a pole for fences. It has denominated village. Or alder means branche valley, the purple field symbolizes power and knightly nobleness of cossacks, and a vert strip means modern wood.
