The soviet emblem
It was confirmed on 1967.
Per bend by gules and azure. First; sickle and hammer or. Second; silhouette or of the generalissimo Suvorov monument, work of sculptor B.Eduards. The arms is placed on or cartouche, having three fortress merlons above and the form of an anchor below.
Monument and merlons personify the heroic past of city. The anchor characterizes specificity of city - seaport. Azure color symbolizes the river Dynai (Danube).
