It was confirmed by the decision of city council session.
The rectangular panel with a ratio of the sides 1:1 is divided horizontal on three equal parts - green, red with a white cross in the middle, and black. The green colour symbolizes a young city, red with a white cross symbolizes a location of town on Volyn, black symbolizes a coal mining industry.
