It was confirmed in November, 3d, 2017 by the decision #2-21/2017 of village council session. Per fess by abaised fess Argent. First Azure; three mountains Sable bordered by Argent, the middle of which is higher, accompanied in the dexter chief by sun Or with sixteen rays, in the sinister chief by crescent Or in fess horns up, accompanied in chief by six-beam star Or. Second Vert; hornbeam branch Or with three leaves in fess. Shield is entered into the decorative cartouche Or and crowned by village crown Or. At the bottom of the cartouche is the inscription "VELYKYI KARABTSHIIV".
The emblem means the legend of the origin of the village name from the word "karabchi" ("the black forest") - and its location at the mountain. The fess means the Smotrych River, hornbeam leaves mean the surrounding forests. The author is P.Voitaluk. Image on site C.Bohatov, V.Napytkin.
