The modern emblem
It was confirmed in June, 26th, 2002 by the decision #IV/2-43 of region council session.
Azure with enchanced wavy base Vert, thinly complete by Argent, two abaised wavy barrulets Argent. Over all stone obelisk Sable accompanied in chief by sword and saber Argent in saltire. The shield is enframed by wreath from leaves and ears Or, intertwined by ribbon Azure with inscription "Nikol's'kyi region."
