The modern emblem
It was confirmed in January, 11th, 2008 by the decision of region council session.
Per fess by abaised wavy fess Argent. First Or; rising sun Gules with wide beams, against which floats Cossack ship Or with sail Argent, above it flies sable-headed gull Argent. Second Azure. The shield is crowned by territorial crown Or and framed by ears Or, entwined by vine grapes. Under the shield is embroidered towel with inscription "Holoprystans'kyi region".
