The modern emblem
It was confirmed in February, 23d, 2000 by the decision of region council session.
On the base is rising sun with wide rays: Or, Azure, Gules, Azure, Or. In the center is monument to the fighters for freedom and independence. The shield has border from strokes Argent and Sable. Above the shield are three spikelets of wheat. The shield is surrounded by a wreath from ripe apples, onion, apple and grassland flowers. Under the shield on ribbon Azure is inscription "Markivs'kyi region."
