The modern emblem

It was confirmed in September, 30th, 1998 by the decision #39/6 of VI city council session of XXIII convocation.

Azure, engrailed base Argent; three ears Or with the deviation to the right, straight and to the left. Above ears are three stars Argent with four rays, one above two. The shield is enframed by or cartouche and crowned by or urban crown with three prongs.
Three ears mean crossroad of historical commercial and cultural ways, stras mean Milky Way. Together they mean hospitality - "bread and salt". Argent base means Dnipro river.
The authors are V.Fedchenko, S.Fedchenko, V.Shums'kyi, V.Poniuchenko, G.Hnatovs'kyi.
