The emblem of the russian period

It was confirmed in July, 21st, 1893. Gules; griffin Argent with eyes and tongue Gules. In the canton is emblem of Tavrijs'ka province. The shield is crowned by ancient Tsar's crown with an emperial eagle on it. Behind the shield are two anchors Or accompanied in dexter chief and in sinister base by two banners Gules connected together by the ribbon of the Order of St. Great Martyr Victorious George. On the right banner is monogram Or of the deceased Emperor Nikolai I and on the left banner - the same monogram of the deceased Emperor Alexander II. The both monograms are decorated by emperial crown and a chain of the Order of the apostle Andrew Pervozvannyi.
In July, 12th, 1994 it was re-confirmed by decision #7 of city council session. In the April, 21st, 2000 this decision was cancelled. Image on site V.Napytkin. П.П.фон-Винклер.
