It was confirmed in March, 28th, 2008 by the decision #1028 of city council session. Per pale by Vert and Gules, with base Azure separated by embattled masoned fess Argent. First; letter "K" Or, over which is crown Or. Second; Mercury's staff Argent in pale twined by two snakes Or and accompanied in the sinister by paty cross Argent with extended bottom crossbeam, in the dexter by half moon Argent turned to the sinister. On the base are two hands of natural colour in hand shake. The shield is enframed by cartouche Or, crowned by urban crown Argent with three prongs and framed by a wreath from oak leaves. On tape Gules is inscription "STARYI KRYM" Or. The authors are O.Maskevych, V.Konovalov. Image on site V.Napytkin.
