LYSYCHANS'K

The soviet emblem

It was confirmed in May, 5th, 1971.

Azure with base vert; part of gear or in which is the retort argent with solution gules. Above the base is waste heap sable. The chief azure is charged by sickle with hammer or and the city name.
The base symbolizes Fox beam near which settlement was built. Waste heap is a sign of the first mine which was giving rise to city since 1710. The retort is a symbol of the chemical industry, gear means mechanical engineering.
