The modern emblem
It was confirmed in February, 24th, 1995 by the decision #55 of IV city council session of XXII convocation.
Or with engrailed base Azure; stone Brown with three atomic orbits. It is symbol of uranic ore, which is main city industry. On the base are crossed Cossack sabres Or in saltire and date 1648. It means victory of Ukrainian troops against Polish in May, 16th, 1648. The shield is crowned by cog-wheel Azure with city name Or on Ukrainian language.
