ROZYMOVS'KYI KYRYLO (1747-1764)
Kyrylo Rozymovs'kyi was born in 1728. In 1743 Rozymovs'kyi goes in Germany and France for receiving education. In Berlin he studied for known mathematician of the Euler, than listened to the lectures in Goettingen, travelled on France and Italy. In 1746 he was assigned as the president of an Academy of sciences. In 1747 empress Elyzaveta has restored het'man orders on Ukraine and has appointed Kyrylo Rozymovs'kyi to the post of het'man. With recovering het'man Ukraine again has received the rights of an autonomy and the russian institutes in Ukraine were liquidated. Gradually Ukraine began to come nearer to the social and political system of Poland, where the local authority concentrated in hands of gentry. Kyrylo Rozymovs'kyi wanted, that Ukraine have presented the right of the free relations with the foreign states and have released from involvement in wars of empire beyond the scope of Ukraine. Kyrylo Rozymovs'kyi, as far as it was possible, protected the privileges and rights of Ukraine. But het'man institute already stood on a threshold of an erasure. In November, 10th, 1764 het'man's power was liquidated by the imperial decree.
