It was confirmed in September, 21st, 1781. It had been taken from a regimental banner which was granted to Chuhuivs'ky regiment in March, 14th, 1752. The shield per fess by fess Gules. First Or; two sabers in saltire. Second Argent; bunch with vine-leaves on a staff. On the fess three horned moons Argent with their points up. The upper part showed that the inhabitants became famous in the struggles against the Tartars and the Turks.
