The emblem of the russian period
It was confirmed in January, 22nd, 1796.
In the upper part of a per fess shield there was Novohrad-Volyns'kyi emblem. In the lower part according to the situation of the town near the Goryn' river and joining it together with the Sluch river there was an iron anchor in an azure field to signify a favorable navigation in those rivers.
