It was confirmed in September, 15th, 2000 by the decision #244 of region council session. Gules; wave pale or with fillet wave pale or on it. The shield is crowned by or wheaten sheaf accompanied by two or decorative branches, and argent towel with blue Ukrainian ornament. The shield is framed by two or oak branches, connected by blue ribbon with motto "ACTIVITY BEARS OF HONOUR" and gules viburnum.
The gules field resembles of a history of region. Azure means Synytsia river, or means wheaten fields. Oak is main tree in flora of region. Total oak leaves (26) responds quantity of settlements of region. Viburnum is most popular plant of the Ukrainian mythology and folklore, implementation of a solar energy, nutrient force of ground, water and air. The authors are V.E.Kryvenko, K.V.Shlahovyi.
