The modern emblem
It was confirmed in April, 19th, 1991 by the decision of city council session.
It is Varangian heraldic shield with a base. The upper part is tierced in pall, topographically representing a railway. On the first part is stork holding a stone in his foot. On the second and in the third parts are vin ore. On the base is a masonry with the date of foundation - 1816. The stork with a stone symbolizes attention, an or vine signifies fertility of the earth, a masonry is to denote friendship of the representatives of all nationalities living in the town, a railway - is a symbol of industry.
