It was confirmed at March, 22th, 1991 by the decision N77 of VI city council session of XXI convocation. The basis of it is a historical symbol. In an azure field you see an or circle ,an or or eagle with its wings open and an or crown in the form of a trident. The circle (Ukrainian "kolo") is a symbol of infinity and a legend about the name of the town. The or eagle symbolizes the fighters for freedom and independence of Ukraine. They are oprishki, marks men of Sich, soldiers of Ukrainian Insurgent Army. An azure color is a symbol of Carpathian highlands and the river Prut. The author is M.Dovirak.
