KOLONSCHYNA
Near village are nine hills and four sites of ancient settlement of Kyiv Rus' period. One of hills now has name Batyeva mountain. According to a legend, in 1240 ancestors of modern inhabitans have given battle to Tatar-Mongols who were headed by khan Batyj. Victims in this fight were buried in seven tombs-barrows. In honour of this event village carries the name of Kolonshchina, fist name was Kolijshchyna.
