It was confirmed in August, 1st, 1997 by the decision of XVIII city council session of XXII convocation. Vert; swan argent, under it is seven waves argent in three rows - four, two and one, on the dexter side is ear or with a leaf, on the sinister is sabre or in sheath, turned from top to bottom. The shield enframed by or cartouche and crowned by argent urban crown with three prongs.
The swan ("lebid'") on waves personifies city and lake by which city has received name. The sabre emphasizes a historical role of settlement as fortresses, ear is symbol of agrarian character of city economy. Vert color characterizes dense woods which surround city from three parties.
