It was confirmed in January, 31st, 2002 by the decision #5/1 of XXII city council session of XXIII convocation. Per pale by azure and vert; reared argent horse, in the sinister corner is argent flank, punched by an argent half moon. The shield enframed by or cartouche with date 1413 and crowned by argent urban crown with three prongs. In the cartouche is beech leaves and gules flower of rue (rhododendron). The author is O.Oliynyk.
The horse is a symbol of diligence, it was used on the old arms of city. A flank with a half moon specifies a legend about woman Kitsa who has drowned the turkish soldier in a flank. Azure means rich water resources, vert means generous vegetation.
