It was confirmed in March, 12th, 1999 by the decision #5/22 of city council session. Gules; argent Saint Yuri on an argent horse, in argent clothes, around of a head is or nimbus, in the left hand he holds a gules shield with an argent cross, in the right hand he holds argent spear and punches the argent snake with gules eyes. The shield enframed by or cartouche and crowned by argent urban crown with three prongs. The author is A.Kostjuk.
Saint Yuri was used on city stamps since 1324 and it is the most ancient known Ukrainian city arms.
