It was confirmed in September, 9th, 1999 by the decision N7/10 of city council session. Vert; or embattled pale from parquet bars, argent chapter separated in fir twig, in it runs gules roe. The shield enframed by or cartouche and crowned by argent urban crown with three prongs. The author is A.Grechylo.
The parquet specifies woodworking industry. Vert means riches of woods, and roe is the typical representative of local fauna. In the project was supposed to use the squirrel, because region is the only one place of its dwelling in oblast'.
