It was confirmed in March, 18th, 1997 by the decision of IV city council session of III convocation. Vert; argent edelweiss, above it is broken (in three ledges, middle above two others) argent chief, below it is or base in fir tree. The shield enframed by or cartouche and crowned by argent urban crown with three prongs. The author is A.Grechylo.
The fir-tree section specifies Carpathian woods, vert field means development of resorts. Broken section means Carpathians, and an middle ledge - the mountain Goverla that located on the territory of village council. A flower of an edelweiss is a sign of rare local flora.
