KREKHIV

The village is known by ancient monastery. According to legends, the monastery was found by monks of Kyiv-Pechers'k Laurels Ioil and Sylvestr. They have lodged in cutted cells in a rock which has received the name "Ioil Rock", and on its top have built a Virgin chapel and Peter and Paul's chapel.
