It was confirmed in January, 23d, 2001 by the decision of region council session. Shield per pale by gules and argent. In the first fiels is argent paty cross above vert wave base (meadows), in the second field is azure flame. The emblem enframed by or cartouche with ears in the bottom of it.
The colours symbolize regional center (Lokachi village) emblem. The cross mean Volyn', meadows mean fertility, azure flame means gas deposits. The author is I.Hamezhuk. Image on site V.Napytkin.
