It was confirmed at September, 2nd, 2003. In a gules field is or Andrew cross, above it is a flower of a camomile with argent petals and or core, on the sides are argent sugar pyramides in or envelope, below is argent with azure flame and or frame. The author is A.Grechylo.
Andrew cross specifies the name of city (from a name Andrew). The colors of cross and field emphasizes city finding in Zhytomyr oblast'. The camomile displays riches of the surrounding nature. Sugar in ancient packing means the basic industry, which assisted to development of settlement. The argent bowl with azure-or flame ("fiery water") means manufacture of spirit.
