PUKHIVKA

Village inhabitants resistanced to Mongols at 1240, and small city was destroyed "in down and ashes" (v puh). Its other name - Desnyans'kyi city which was founded by prince Volodymyr in 980. In the Middle Ages the village was known as Komarivka. It belonged to monastery, but administratively obeyed to Hoholiv squadron.
