The modern emblem
It was confirmed in December, 24th, 2019 by the decision #10-47/2019 of XLVII village council session of VII convocation.
Or; flaming sword Gules with point up and spear Sable point down in saltire, accompanied in chief and base by horseshoes Gules ears up, and by counter-posted plowshares Gules on the sides. The shield is inscribed in decorative cartouche Or and crowned by village crown Or. At the bottom of the cartouche is the inscription "DOVZHKY".
The sword is a symbol of the Archangel Michael (a direct allusion to the coat of arms of Kyiv, because, according to legend, the village was founded by settlers from Kyiv), the spear is a symbol of St. George the Victorious (a sign of the local church). Horseshoes and plowshares are a symbol of agriculture.
The authors are V.Napytkin, C.Bohatov, M.Medvediuk.
