KHMEL'NYTS'KYI YURIJ(1659-1663)
In 1659 the army has proclaimed het'man Yuriy Khmel'nyts'kyi. He has signed the new agreement with Moscow, on which the Moscow armies allocated in all large cities of Ukraine, and to the Cossacks was provided against messages of war and to conduct the external relations, and also to elect het'manа and foremen without the admittance of tsar. It was, in effect, full treachery of Bohdan Khmel'nyts'kyi treaty. Therefore when in 1660 the war between Poland and Moscow began, Khmel'nyts'kyi has entered negotiations with the Poles and has agreed to return Ukraine in a composition of Rich Pospolyta. But left-bank foreman did not agree on this agreement. Ukraine was divided on two separate (Polish and Moscow) parts, each with het'man. It was by the beginning of period of a history of Ukraine called "Ruins."
