It was confirmed in July, 18th, 2018 by the decision #646 of XXXIV city council session of VIII convocation. Or; from carved stepped base Argent issues embowed couped point Gules, crowned by quadrangular star Gules. On the point pot Or; on both sides it accompanied by Cossack sabers Gules in pale. The emblem is inscribed in a decorative cartouche Or and crowned by village crown Or. At the bottom of the cartouche is the inscription "ZHORNYSHTSHE".
The carved stepped base symbolizes the quarry in which was mined stones for millstones. Cossack sabers symbolize the historical past of squadron city of the Kal'nyk regiment, the pot is a symbol of pottery, and also the O.Hanzha, famous master of ceramic sculpture. The point with the star (stylized take-off of the rocket) means inventor of the jet engine M.Kybal'tshych, why stayed in the village. The authors are O.Tyshtshyk, C.Bohatov, V.Napytkin.
