It was confirmed in October, 17th, 2018 by the decision #4-47/2018 of XLVII city council session of VII convocation. Purple; on wave base Argent three fracted fesses Azure, from base issues hill Vert, surrounded by wooden fence Or, accompanied in top by formy cross Argent. The shield is inscribed in a decorative cartouche and is crowned by village crown Or. At the bottom of the cartouche is the inscription "AVRATYN" and the date "1583".
The hill ("hora"), surrounded by a fence ("tyn"), is a symbol of the ancient name Horatyn (mountain around which is a fence). Variable fesses are symbol of the Avratyn Upland, where converge the watersheds of the Horyn', the Southern Bug and the Dniester rivers. The formy cross is a symbol of the historical Volyn'.
